InfoSlice Disk GuideDisk Interfaces:The disk bays of current InfoSlice models are either all ATA (-133/100) disk bays, or all SATA (-155) disk bays, or all SCSI (ultra320/160) disk. All bays are hot-swappable. Each may be selected to be a hot spare. Multiple RAID sets (and types) can co-exist. Each set can have hot spares, or one or more drives may be designated as a 'global hot spare' which is available to all of the RAID sets. Disk Models:InfoSlices can accommodate many different disk models (in terms of manufacturer, capacity, seek time, and rotational velocity), and these different disk models can co-exist within one InfoSlice.
